SPJ VMware Validated Design (VVD) Standard
SPJ Solutions VMware Validated Design (VVD) Standard is the certified solution for VMware’s VVD reference architecture. The solution includes hardware, software, and professional services to offer a fully functional, compatible, and validated Software Defined Data Center (SDDC). The SDDC solution will enable customers to offer self-service portals to its customers and internal users to provision infrastructure on demand.

Organizations looking to deploy VMware’s SDDC solution can minimize their time to market with the pre-validated and certified solution from SPJ. The solution comes with configurations of the physical switches, physical servers, virtualization layer, NSX, and vRealize suite that would otherwise take months of manual work as well as would require skilled individuals. The pre-configured hardware, offered as part of SPJ VVD Standard greatly reduces outages, and possible rework.
SPJ VVD Standard solution consists of three key components as follows:
Hardware: SPJ VVD Standard is validated and certified against Cisco UCS hardware and Cisco 3850 switches. However, the same configurations can be applied to hardware from other vendors, i.e. Dell and HP. The components for the physical servers are compatible with the software to be installed on them. Furthermore, the configurations comply with the VMware Validated Design Reference Architecture. The network configurations include the VLANs, SVIs, and other configurations needed on the physical switches to implement VMware Validated Design SDDC Solution
Software: SPJ VVD Standard includes the software products from the VMware Validated Design Reference Architecture, including vSphere, vCenter, VSAN, vRealize Automation, vRealize Orchestrator, vRealize Operations, vRealize Log Insight. SPJ VVD Standard also includes cITopus, a rapid deployment, orchestration, and automation tool that SPJ Solutions has built. The software products will be compatible among each other. Furthermore, the software products will be compatible with the hardware components, i.e. drivers, IO controllers. Customers can choose to add Site Recovery Manager and/or vRealize Network Insight to the SPJ VVD Standard solutions
Professional Services: SPJ VVD Standard includes professional services to install and configure hardware and software products, including rack and stack, cabling, physical server configuration, physical switch configuration, ESXi and vCenter installation and configuration, vRealize suite installation and configuration using distributed deployment, NSX installation and configuration, cITopus installation and configuration, physical data center and tenant configuration on vRealize automation, blueprint configuration on vRealize Automation, deployment and testing, and knowledge transfer.
Customers can opt for additional professional services, including expanding the SDDC solution to multiple data centers, migration of customer workload into SDDC, additional blueprint development, deployment of additional NSX topologies, integration with third-party products i.e. Palo Alto Networks and f5, and deployment of Site Recovery Manager.
